2020 Red Claw Pinot Gris
The 2020 season on the Mornington Peninsula will long be remembered as
a unique year – and not only for the super fine wines it produced. Ripening was even and the wines have great intensity and depth of flavour.
A bright, refreshing style of pinot gris - bone dry and the perfect partner for fresh local seafood.
Winemaker Notes
Handpicked on 28 February, the fruit was whole bunch pressed into tank. After cold settling overnight, juice was racked to another tank for fermentation. Parcels left on yeast lees until June 2020 to gain mouth feel and complexity, then bottled. (Alc 13%)
Tasting Notes
This Red Claw Pinot Gris has lovely freshness, lifted floral aromas and clean, fresh fruit flavours. Showing a hint of nashi pear, subtle spice and a long, finely textured palate.
