2015 was a warm and extended season, producing some of the best wines we have made. The 2015 vintage wines are classics in the making.
This perfumed and spicy Syrah, is medium-bodied in style. The palate is concentrated and silky, with finely structured tannins, bright fruit characters, wonderful elegance and depth. Drinking beautifully today, it will age gracefully for ten years.
Halliday: 96 points. "The fragrant, spicy fruit-driven bouquet opens the door to the immaculately crafted medium-bodied palate, where spicy red and black cherry fruit is draped on a scaffold of fine-grained tannins and integrated French oak."
An incredible year for pinot noir on the Mornington Peninsula, as the above vintage description attests. The wines have great charm and poise, and this crowd-favourite is a perfect example!
This wine sold out incredibly quickly, but luckily for us Tom quietly tucked a small parcel away in the cellar to allow us to enjoy its evolution as it matures over the coming years. And already we are enjoying the rewards!
Highly perfumed, with fragrant cherry and dark berry characters, a touch of spice and underlying French oak. The long, silky palate has a lovely elegance and velvety texture, with concentrated red fruit flavours and a finely poised finish.
Halliday: 94 points
This wine is a staff favourite here, and always wins fans whenever we open it at cellar door. It has so much appeal in the glass - beautiful balance and incredible bright, raspberry scented fruit.
The fruit comes from a small block of Grenache on our family vineyard in Heathcote, planted on the famous strip of 500 million year old Cambrian soil.
The 2014 season was excellent in Heathcote, and this Grenache Noir is beautifully balanced and loaded with characteristic plush raspberry and spicy fruit characters. A medium-bodied style, the palate is concentrated and poised, finishing with fine powdery tannins.
The grenache grape is a highly versatile partner for a range of dishes, and this wine is no exception - from pizza, to baked salmon or slow cooked shoulder of pork. A perfect wine to enjoy in Autumn.
