James Halliday rates Red Claw Pinot

The 2016 Halliday Companion has just hit the shelves, check out his review of the 2014 Red Claw Pinot Noir.  "Highly perfumed and expressive. Almost irresistibly so. Cherries, raspberries, sweet-sour aspects but blossomy scent aplenty. Spice and aged meat characters make a clear run too; it's such a pretty wine and yet there's a lot going on. At the price, it's an easy Yes." 92 points.  To read more or buy the wine.

Vintage 2016 at Yabby Lake

The 2016 harvest is officially complete. Picking commenced on 10 February with pinot gris and finished with syrah on 4 March, which is about one week earlier than 'average'.  So with everything picked, pressed and in barrel, the vineyard and winery team are happily enjoying the change of season - and weekends with family! Highlights of the vintage include some incredibly fragrant and intense reds, with beautiful colours, as well as some lovely whites with generous fruit flavours.  Check out plenty of vintage action on InstagramFacebook or Twitter.
